Self-interacting Dark Matter: current status and future tests

Abstract:
This talk will provide a summary of the astrophysical constraints on self-interacting dark matter (SIDM)models and motivate the idea of gravothermal collapse as a necessary part of the phenomenology. We will discuss some promising future astrophysical tests and end with an outlook on the small-scales issues.
