Title:
Magic From a Quantum Fourier Approach

Speaker:
Kaifeng Bu

Abstract:
Stabilizer states have played an important role in quantum information and computation, such as quantum error correcting code, measurement-based quantum computation and so on. Gottesman-Knill theorem states that stabilizer circuits comprising Clifford unitaries with stabilizer states and measurements can be simulated efficiently on a classical computer. Hence, magic (or non-stabilizer) resources is necessary to achieve quantum advantage. In this talk, I will introduce our recent results on magic of quantum states and circuits based on a quantum Fourier approach.
