Title:
Matrix models: Link to QHE, geometry of disorder and non-critical strings

Speaker:
Ara Sedrakyan

Abstract:
I will present a new type of Matrix Model (MM), which allows us to put on random surfaces any spin chain model given by R-matrix and take a sum over them. Contrary to standard MM's, the approach allows considering the critical models of any central charge, including c>1. Examples include Babujyan-Takhtajian models with higher spins. Hence, the approach opens the door to cross the c=1 barrier problem in the non-critical string theory. Diagonalization of matrices of the MM leads the problem of Gaussian matrix integration over Full Flag Manifold (FFF). We demonstrate that this integral can be evaluated.
