New developments on the small quantum group

Abstract:
In 2017 Igor Frenkel proposed a formula for the dimension of the center of the small quantum group u_q(sl_n) associated to the Lie algebra sl_n odd integer l, coprime to n. I will describe the progress made since then in establishing this formula and more generally in understanding the structure of the center of u_q(g). This is a joint work with Nicolas Hemelsoet and Oscar Kivinen.
