Title:
Exotic FieldTheories: Lifshitz Theory, Tensor Gauge Theory, and Fractons

Speaker:
Nathan Seiberg

Abstract:
Over the past few years, many exotic lattice systems withpeculiar properties were found. Some oftheir peculiarities include particles with restricted mobility, largeground-state degeneracy, and long-distance sensitivity to short-distancedetails. Consequently, these theories donot have a standard continuum limit.
