Topological recursion/intersection numbers correspondences

Abstract:
The correlation functions of topological recursion can be quite generally expressed in terms of intersection numbers on the moduli space of curves. Such representations come from the knowledge of basic case and the compatibility between smooth deformations of spectral curves and topological recursion. In this overview talk, I will present several of these techniques at work in enumerative geometry, in particular in Hurwitz theory
