Title:
Title: Black hole enstrophy

Speaker:
Amos Yarom

Abstract:
Enstrophy is a hydrodynamic quantity that is approximately conserved only in 2+1 dimensional incompressible flow. It plays a key role in the existence of the inverse energy cascade present in turbulent flows in two spatial dimensions. I will discuss a relativistic analog of enstrophy and its manifestation in asymptotically 3+1 dimensional AdS black branes.
