Abstract:
Abstract: I will describe and study a natural map from the configuration space of n distinct ordered points in Euclidean 3-space to the flag manifold of U(n). I will also describe the generalization to other compact Lie groups. This lecture is related to, but independent of, my lecture at the Simons Center on Oct 25.
