Higher Categories and State Sum Constructions of Extended TQFTs

Abstract:
this talk will be closely related with Noah Snyder's talk from last week. We will discuss an approach to constructions of extended (or local) topological field theories based on triangulating the manifold (or using more general PL cell decompositions) and then using a state sum construction.
