Title:
STATISTICAL MECHANICS FOR REAL BIOLOGICAL NETWORK

Speaker:
William Bialek

Abstract:
Intended for faculty and advanced graduate students, this talk will explain how recent experimental developments in studying proteins, networks of neurons, flocks of birds, and many other systems together with the maximum entropy idea, make it possible to construct statistical mechanics models of biological systems directly from real data.
