Title:
Overview of the First Planck Cosmology Results

Speaker:
Neelima Sehgal

Abstract:
In 2009, the Planck Satellite was launched by the European and U.S. Space Agencies (ESA and NASA) to measure the Cosmic Microwave Background with extreme precision. In March of 2013, Planck released its first Cosmology results from measuring the temperature of the fluctuations in the Microwave Background. I will discuss these results and their significance, as well as the next steps forward.Related Papers:
