Non-simple genus minimizers in lens spaces

Abstract:
I will discuss the construction of an abundance of knots of the sort mentioned in the title of the talk. Part of the motivation for studying these knots are natural Dehn surgery questions, such as the Berge conjecture (which remains an open problem). This is joint work with Yi Ni.
