Bridgeland stability and the birational geometry of the Hilbert scheme of points

Abstract:
In this talk, I will introduce Bridgeland stability conditions on surfaces. I will then discuss how Bridgeland stability allows us to answer questions in the birational geometry of the moduli spaces of sheaves on surfaces. This talk will be based on joint work with Arcara, Bertram and Huizenga
