Title:
Cylindrical contact homology as a sometimes well-defined homology

Speaker:
Jo Nelson

Abstract:
In this follow up to last week I will explain recent progress in establishing the existence of cylindrical contact homology in dimension 3 with additional restrictions on the contact form and give some positive results for establishing the necessary transversality results. I will also sketch a new approach allowing us to compute cylindrical contact for a large class of examples which admit contact forms that are admissible under the stronger conditions required. This approach is applicable to prequantization spaces and the links of simple singularities.
