Title:
Holography and Equilibration

Speaker:
Edward Shuryak

Abstract:
It is well known that thermally equilibrated state is dual to a holographic black hole. The equilibration process is thus dual to black hole formation. The talk starts by considering two problems: (i) a falling membrane, dual to equilibration shock wave in the scale space, (ii) strong stationary shock waves and (iii) shock wave collisions. Last two display rapid onset of hydro regimes. Then comes brief review of news in heavy ion physics, which includes high harmonics of flow and observation of hydro explosion in certain pA and even pp collisions. New ideas on those include collective implosion of QCD strings and formation of very dense/hot QGP fireball. We end by discussing holographic dual to this scenario.
