Lawson’s Conjecture and some generalizations

Abstract:
In the late 1960s, Lawson conjectured that the Clifford torus is the only embedded minimal torus in S^3. We will discuss our proof of this conjecture, as well as some extensions to Alexandrov immersions and to Weingarten surfaces.
