Title:
Ellipsoid partition function from Seiberg-Witten monopoles
Speaker:
Abstract:
Supersymmetric localization techniques allow one to compute exactly the partition function of supersymmetric theories placed on compact Euclidean manifolds. The configurations onto which the path integral localizes depend on the choice of deformation term. In this talk, I will perform the so-called Higgs branch localization, alternative to the more common Coulomb branch localization and differing by the choice of deformation term, for N=2 supersymmetric theories on the four-sphere, and show that the path integral is then dominated by vortex-like configurations wrapping two intersecting two-spheres as well as singular Seiberg-Witten monopoles located at the north and south pole. The partition function can be written accordingly
