Title:
Polynomial qKZ equations for loop models

Speaker:
Bernard Nienhuis

Abstract:
A number of solvable model families have "combinatoric" members. These models are characterized by a purely extensive ground state energy, or free energy for the quantum and statistical representation respectively. When these models in their two-dimensional statistical version are made inhomogeneous, by varying the spectral parameter from line to line, the components of the ground state vector itself depend polynomially on these spectral parameters. The vector satisfies equations that are sometimes called q-Knizhnik-Zamolodchikov (qKZ) equations.
