The Once and Future Ising

Abstract:
I will present several sets of open questions in the study of Ising model correlation functions. One set of questions comes from the relation of the Onsager's and Kaufman's very different method of solution of the Ising model. A second set of questions concerns the relation between Toeplitz determinants and Fredholm determinants. The final set of questions relates the theory of elliptic functions to Isomonodromic deformation theory.
