Title:
Some Results on Chromatic and Potts/Tutte Polynomials including Zeros and Asymptotic Limits for Families of Graphs

Speaker:
Robert Shrock

Abstract:
We discuss some results on chromatic and Potts/Tutte polynomials on $n$-vertex families of graphs, including limiting behavior as $n \to \infty$ and zeros and their continuous accumulation sets in the $n \to \infty$ limit. This subject combines statistical mechanics, combinatorics and graph theory with complex analysis and algebraic geometry. A number of open questions will be noted.
