Shor—Movassagh Model at Half Integer Spins

Abstract:
I will be presenting a spin chain similar to the model constructed by Peter Shor and Ramis Movassagh. The description of the ground state can be obtained by replacing Motzkin paths by Dyck paths. In the spin 1/2 case the Hamiltonian can be easily expressed in terms of Pauli matrices. For spin 3/2 and higher the Hamiltonian looks more complicated but the entropy increases faster.
