Abstract:
In the first part I will try to summarize the key points of the non-commutative geometry program for homogeneous aperiodic condensed matter systems, developed by Jean Bellissard. In the second part I will work out several concrete examples and demonstrate how the index theorems in the setting of strong disorder are generated.
