Title:
Quasi-electrons on the sphere and jack polynomials

Speaker:
Boris Hanin

Abstract:
This I am expository talk. I will briefly review the role that Jack polynomials play in the study of incompressible FQH states on the sphere. I will then explain how quasi-electron excitations of such incompressible states can be written in terms of Jacks as well. Based on work of Bernevig and Haldane.
