Title:
Real time physics of entanglement and dissipation

Speaker:
Mukund Rangamani

Abstract:
I will describe recent attempts to understand non-equilibrium real time physics of entanglement and correlation functions. I will explain how setting up the real time path integral in the holographic context allows us to derive the covariant prescription for computing holographic entanglement entropy. I will then explain some interesting topological structures that are inherent in the real time path integral, which turn out to be powerful in constraining low energy effective dynamics in dissipative systems like hydrodynamics.
