AdS2/CFT1 from AdS4/CFT3

Abstract:
We propose AdS2/CFT1 dualities between large N topological quantum mechanics (TQM) and 2d Yang-Mills (YM) on AdS2. We argue that such dualities can be obtained from localization on both sides of the AdS4/CFT3 dual pairs with N=4 supersymmetry. We discuss the case of ABJM/M-theory duality in detail, where we identify the infinitely dimensional symmetry algebra in the large N TQM, and this hints at an emergent infinite dimensional gauge symmetry in the bulk 2d YM after localizing to AdS2.
