Title:
Stable homotopy theoretic computations in condensed matter physics

Speaker:
Jonathan Campbell

Abstract:
In this talk I'll indicate how standard methods from stable homotopy theory can be used to classify invertible field theories and SPTs. I'll briefly discuss the Freed-Hopkins classification scheme and give examples of computations that confirm classifications of certain SPTs in the physics literature, as well as some novel computations.
