Title:
The large D limit of holographic turbulence

Speaker:
Amos Yarom

Abstract:
We will discuss relativistic hydrodynamics in a limit where the number of dimensions is large and show that under certain conditions the equations of motion significantly simplify. Holographic theories in a large number of dimensions satisfy the aforementioned restrictions and their dynamics is captured by the hydrodynamic equations of motion with a naturally truncated derivative expansion.
