Title:
Supersymmetric gauge theories on Seifert manifolds

Speaker:
Cyril Closset

Abstract:
I will discuss recent progress in computing supersymmetric partition functions of 3d N=2 supersymmetric gauge theories on general half-BPS three-manifolds M_3, as well as related 4d N=1 supersymmetric indices, explicitly. One may compute such observables for essentially any M_3 given as a Seifert fibration, by reducing along the circle fiber and computing in a resulting two-dimensional A-twisted theory. In this language, supersymmetric partition functions are understood as expectation values of "geometry-changing" codimension-2 defect operators. I will sketch the general formalism and present a few concrete applications.
