Between duality and symmetry in supersymmetric QFT

Abstract:
We will discuss several examples of IR enhancement of symmetry in four dimensions for supersymmetric theories. We will relate such enhancement to IR dualities and to compactifications of (1,0) theories on a surface. Moreover, we will discuss some new dualities one can infer by observing enhancement of symmetry.
