Abstract:
We review the solution of the Heisenberg spin 1/2 XXZ open chain with general boundary fields by the quantum separation of variables approach. We notably discuss the computation of the scalar products of separate states (a family of states which generalizes the transfer matrix eigenstates) in the form of compact and manageable determinant representations.
