Light-ray operators and energy detectors

Abstract:
Energy-energy correlators measured in particle colliders can be described in a conformal field theory by a product of average null energy operators inserted at future null infinity. I will explain how such products can be expanded in terms of non-local light-ray operators of various spins. The complete expansion involves interesting subleading corrections which correspond to null states in Verma modules of light-ray operators.
